I broadened the horizons for activities this week to include some fun outside the perimeter. Be sure to check out the Back to School Bash in Sandy Springs on August 16. There are tons of activities to choose from around Atlanta this weekend. Tell your husband to load up the kids and head to Historic Old Fourth Ward Park for the Cool Dads Rock Soapbox Derby Festival on August 13!

Toddler Time at Sky Zone is a special time just for the little ones to explore new ways to be active while staying safe. $9 per participating child. One adult is free per participating child, additional adults are $11.
This interactive educational program allows parents and children to participate together in activities related to the “Vehicle of the Month.” Program includes a game, story/song, activity, craft and when available, the actual vehicle of the month for children to see and experience. The program is designed for children 2-4 years old. Registration is now limited to the first 75 children and pre-registration is recommended. To attend, check-in at the ticket counter before 10:20 AM. Advance tickets will cut off before midnight the day before. Annual Cool Dads Rock Soapbox Derby Festival

Piedmont Park Arts Festival

The Piedmont Park Summer Arts & Crafts Festival is an outdoor event with an emphasis on the visual arts and family fun. This event will feature up to 200 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork, glass blowers, jewelers and crafters! The Festival will also offer artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, a Street Market, children’s play area plus festival foods and beverages with healthy alternatives.
