I was introduced to My Atlantas Moms Club by the founder herself , Caroline Combs Hoffman. We live in the same neighborhood community and I looking for friends to set up playdates on our neighborhood Facebook page when she told me about her group. Before MAMC, I had never been apart of a Facebook group specially for moms.
This group has helped me more then ever since my second child was born. Anytime I have a question or concern, I know I can turn to these mamas for quick advice. There is never any judgement or negative feedback either .
You see, our son Asher has Down Syndrome. The news was a shock to my husband and I, but it didn’t change a thing in our eyes. We know that God chose this path for us, because he believes in us as parents. I feel so privileged to be a blogger for the special needs section for MAMC. I want to share my experiences as a special needs mom so that I can help other moms who might feel lost or alone . I also want to end the many stereotypes that are associated with Down Syndrome once and for all.
