Free and cheap activities for the pint-sized set abound this week, February 2-8, in Atlanta. Home school moms can make learning fun with a special art class at the Booth Western Art Museum. And if you have pre-school aged little ones, bring them to the Center for Puppetry Arts on Saturday to enjoy Elmo’s birthday bash!

Toddler Thursdays at the High

This month’s theme for Toddler Thursday program is Make a Difference! How can artists help fight for social change? Meet some artists who are making a difference through their art.

Home School Fridays @ Booth Western Art Museum

Instructor Mersia Martin will guide home school students age 7-12 in exploring a variety of mediums and techniques during this art class. Students will take home a completed art project at the end of each class. Classes meet the first Friday of the month. For more info, click here.

Take a ‘dip’ into Georgia Aquarium with your toddler, without the time or cost commitment of our General Admission ticket. Bring your little one on a fun and educational adventure in Georgia Aquarium’s Oceans Ballroom with views of beluga whales or whale sharks and manta rays. During each 1.5 hour experience, children will meet and learn about an approachable animal during a special introduction to marine life, enjoy a costumed character appearance, story time, craft activities and a small snack.
