The school year is in full swing now and with that comes all of the forms, book orders, and the always precious artwork. What to do with it all? A couple of years ago, when my oldest started 2 year old preschool, I knew I was going to want to keep every single piece of artwork. Of course I did! (But don’t worry, I really didn’t.) I mean, this was my first baby and everything he did was basically a masterpiece. Maybe more of a Picasso than anything else, but still! However, I’m also someone who doesn’t like clutter. So I made a special artwork binder to save some of my favorites and, of course, anything with his sweet little hand or foot print.
What You’ll Need: A Binder, Clear Page Protectors, Picture of Your Kiddo
All I did was take each piece and place it in a protector. I made sure to do this each week to prevent a pile up. If something is too big for a protector, cut it down or use a three hole punch and put it straight into the binder. This helps to eliminate any clutter that could occur from placing them in a box or forgotten in the file cabinet.
Of course, no binder is complete without a great cover! I was like this in school too, my favorite part of getting a new binder was creating my cover. The possibilities were endless! I used a photo editing software to created my cover.
This is probably my favorite page of his about me book. It’s so Gavin!
