My family and I are travelers – we love to see the world, experience new things and make memories.
My husband grew up in Atlanta but I met him when he was living in NYC. Shortly after we got married, we moved to San Francisco for a new job and found out we were pregnant. When I was 9 months pregnant, my husband received a job offer that we couldn’t refuse. It was in Atlanta, where his family was located. It was a no-brainer…getting to Atlanta from San Francisco was a different story. We drove across country with our two cats when I was about 9 months pregnant. When we arrived in Atlanta, we started house hunting immediately. I must’ve seen 20+ houses in a week. After we saw our final house, the house we had decided on, my water broke – at 37 weeks. We rushed to the hospital that Monday morning. I remember it was a Monday because it was my husband’s first day at his new job. After almost 24 hours in labor, my son was born. I signed the offer letter on my new house while I was in the hospital. This is one of our greatest memories together.
Prior to motherhood, I worked in international sales for a large children’s goods company. I consider myself a total geek/nerd, an avid reader, an aspiring writer, a bit craftsy, a New Yorker at heart, and a traveler to the core. I am a FTM, a SAHM, and a new arrival in Atlanta. Navigating my new world was, in a word, stressful. Finding a place to safely ask questions, find information and new mom friends was essential. This is what led me to Atlanta Moms Club. I needed a place with others who shared some of my journey and could help me along the way. I started my blog as a way to help other parents navigate the parks of this great city – find places to take their children, meet other parents and explore. I hope my blog helps you get out of house and see something new.
Keep traveling!
